How to use

Enter your 12 or 24 words BIP39 seed phrase. Use the tool OFFLINE for recovery.
  • If one of your words is incorrect, the tool will try to suggest similar, correct words. Try them out.
  • If you are unsure about one of the words, replace it with ? . The tool will calculate all possible words that work. Check them in your wallet or check if any of the calculated addressess is yours.
  • To calculate the checksum (last word - either 12th or 24th), put ? instead of last word. The tool will calculate all correct checksum words - 8 potenial words for 24th and 128 words for 12th.

example: enter a 12 or 24 words seed phrase: "phrase brief ceiling dream rack install fault insane panic surround glory ? library brother hill sauce access child notice picnic dinner panda purity poem"

Note: 12 word seed phrases will take significantly longer to process due to the large number of possibilities for a unknown word.

Security notes & offline use

You can use this tool 100% offline. For security it is preferable to use offline fresh system install or system on live usb. Download standalone offline file below and open it in a browser.

With BIP39 recovery phrase (also called mnemonic phrase), user can backup and recover Bitcoin and other cryptocurrency wallets without the need to use complicated private keys.

The BIP39 protocol uses a list of 2048 carefully chosen english words. Although the lists in different languages exists, it is usually not recommended to use them because most wallets do support only english words. Read more about BIP39 standard.
