Coinplate Grid is entirely made of Stainless Steel (type 1.4301 | AISI 304). This makes it water and corrosion resistant as well as fireproof up to 1,300°C / 2,400°F, while house fires reach up to 850°C / 1,500°F.
Built like a tank
Coinplate Grid is made of two massive stainless steel plates bolted together with stainless steel screws. Each plate is 5mm | 3/16″ thick. Coinplate Grid weighs 1.14 kg | 2.5 lb.
The table layout and lettering on Coinplate Grid are deeply engraved in stainless steel. Your seed phrase is marked permanently by you with the automatic marking tool, which makes deep dents in steel. This guarantees readability of your seed phrase even after the worst accidents or disasters.

Coinplate Grid has a table with numbers (0-9) and words (1-24×4) spaces.
Thanks to BIP39 seed phrase design, you can mark numbers of each word and later recover by looking up the written down numbers. You can see here the whole BIP39 Wordlist. BIP39 uses numbered words 1-2048 that never change, so you can safely recover even after a few years.
The whole 24 words fit on a single plate. With the included automatic marking tool, make a dent on the appropriate, corresponding field. You only need to press it down on the right spaces to make a visible dent in the metal.
To make the process even easier, you will find a permanent marker pen included in the box. Using a marker pen you can mark the seed phrase first and double check, before you make a dent in a metal plate.
Long lasting, with a little bit of encryption
Make your seed phrase backup less obvious if found. Your phrase is written down as 24 numbers that correspond to your seed words.
No permanent branding
You can easily remove all branding and logos. The logo on the front is just a sticker. This way you can hide your Coinplate in plain sight.
Flat design
Coinplate steel wallets have a flat design, making them easier to store and hide. No protruding elements.
Mounting holes
Use an extra pair of holes to fix your Coinplate steel wallet anywhere. Inside a cabinet, under a floor, behind a drywall – you name it!

Please note that the Value Packs are designed for a single user who wants to secure multiple seed phrases. If you’re planning to give individual plates as gifts, the Single Sets might be more suitable, as the Value Pack doesn’t include separate accessories for each plate.
